Pro Days Become Next Opportunity for 2026 NFL Draft Prospects
While the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine provided a major stage for draft prospects, it was not the final opportunity for players to improve their evaluation ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
For some prospects, strong performances in Indianapolis significantly boosted their draft outlook. For others, pro days could be the chance to address questions raised during combine testing.
Combine Winners Rise on Draft Boards
Several players used the event to elevate their stock.
North Dakota State wide receiver Bryce Lance recorded a 4.34-second 40-yard dash and impressive jumping numbers, positioning himself as a potential mid-round selection.
San Diego State defensive back Chris Johnson also improved his outlook after posting strong testing numbers during defensive back workouts.
Players Looking to Rebound
Not every prospect improved their draft stock during combine week. Some players either chose not to participate in certain drills or posted average results compared with their peers.
In those cases, pro days can be critical. Players often perform position-specific drills in familiar environments, sometimes producing faster times or more refined technical performances.
