Atlanta Gladiators Complete Futures Deals, Acquire Forward Max Neill

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Atlanta Gladiators finalized a pair of futures transactions Saturday, highlighted by the acquisition of forward Max Neill from the Bloomington Bison.

The move completes a trade originally made on Oct. 14, 2025, when Atlanta sent defenseman Brenden Datema to Bloomington.

Neill, 25, appeared in just two games for the Bison during the 2025-26 season after battling injuries. Prior to that, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward recorded five goals in 32 games for Bloomington during the 2024-25 campaign.

Before turning professional, the Portage la Prairie, Manitoba native played two seasons at the collegiate level. He spent the 2022-23 season at Lindenwood University, tallying one goal and one assist, before transferring to the University of Waterloo, where he enjoyed a breakout 2023-24 campaign with 10 goals and nine assists.

Neill made his professional debut with the Utah Grizzlies during the 2023-24 season, collecting two assists in 17 games.

Atlanta also completed another futures transaction involving forward Max Grondin. The Gladiators sent Grondin to the Norfolk Admirals to finalize the deal that brought forward Ryan Conroy from the Adirondack Thunder to Atlanta on Aug. 15, 2025. The future originally owned by Adirondack was later moved to Norfolk through a separate transaction.

With both futures considerations now settled, the Gladiators continue shaping their roster as the organization prepares for the 2026-27 ECHL season.

As Atlanta looks ahead to the upcoming campaign, the addition of Neill provides another forward option with collegiate experience and professional upside.
