Clemson vs. Michigan State — Baha Mar Nassau Championship

CLEMSON, S.C. — In a hard-fought non-conference battle at the Baha Mar Nassau Championship, No. 20 Michigan State edged Clemson 72-64 on Dec. 9.

Junior guard/forward Rusne Augustinaite led the Tigers with a team-high 17 points, including five three-pointers, and Demeara Hinds notched a double-double. Clemson kept the Spartans within reach but ultimately couldn’t overcome Michigan State’s balanced attack and late execution. Despite the loss, the performance showed Clemson’s competitiveness against ranked opponents early in the season.

Significance: The narrow loss against a nationally ranked foe provided valuable experience for the young Tigers and tested Clemson’s grit in high-stakes tournament settings.
