Denver Broncos Linebacker Dre Greenlaw Suspended One Game for Unsportsmanlike Conduct
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NFL issues suspension following postgame incident with official
NEW YORK — October 20, 2025 — The National Football League announced today that Denver Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been suspended without pay for one game due to unsportsmanlike conduct that occurred after Sunday's matchup against the New York Giants.
The suspension stems from a violation of Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1(b) of the NFL rulebook, which strictly prohibits players from using abusive, threatening, or insulting language or gestures directed at opponents, teammates, officials, or League representatives.
Following the final whistle of Sunday's Giants-Broncos game, Greenlaw pursued referee Brad Allen as he attempted to exit the field and verbally threatened the official.
Greenlaw will be sidelined for Denver's October 26 game against the Dallas Cowboys and is eligible to rejoin the Broncos' active roster on Monday, October 27.
Per the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Greenlaw has three business days to file an appeal of the suspension.
