One of Maye's biggest accomplishments came in Week 5, when he delivered a historic performance. At 24 years and 42 days old, he became the youngest player ever to record at least 350 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, a passer rating of 150 or higher and a rushing touchdown in a single game.

Maye finished that performance with:

He became just the fourth player in NFL history to accomplish the feat, joining Pro Football Hall of Famer Drew Brees, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Aaron Rodgers.

The recognition marks Maye's first career Player of the Month award and makes him the third Patriots quarterback to receive the honor. He joins Tom Brady, a 10-time winner, and Drew Bledsoe, who earned the award in December 1994.

Maye also joins Natrone Means (October 1994) as the only former University of North Carolina players to earn an Offensive Player of the Month award.
