In a dramatic turn of events at the 2023 Cricket Celebration Bowl, the Florida A&M University Rattlers secured a historic victory, ending the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s (MEAC) five-year dominance over the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). Despite initial setbacks against Howard University, FAMU rallied with quarterback Jeremy Moussa's pivotal plays, including two crucial touchdowns to wide receiver Kelvin Dean and a game-winning 38-yard pass to Jah’Marae Sheread in the fourth quarter.

Howard's early lead, fueled by a 55-yard kick return and a touchdown by RB Jarrett Hunter, posed a challenge that FAMU overcame with defensive resilience and Moussa's leadership under pressure. Reflecting on the game, Moussa emphasized the team's unwavering commitment and resilience, crediting their competitive spirit and strategic approach for the comeback.

The victory not only secured FAMU's first Cricket Celebration Bowl title but also shattered the longstanding MEAC supremacy.
