Furman Men's Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors

The Furman men's tennis team has earned Furman ITA Academic Honors after being recognized as an ITA All-Academic Team, while six Paladins were named 2025-26 ITA Scholar-Athletes by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
The awards recognize both team and individual academic excellence during the 2025-26 academic year, highlighting Furman's commitment to success in the classroom alongside competition on the court.
Furman Recognized for Team Academic Excellence
The ITA All-Academic Team Award is presented to collegiate tennis programs that achieve a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the academic year.
To qualify, every varsity letter winner must be included in the team's cumulative GPA calculation for both the fall and spring semesters.
Furman's recognition places the Paladins among the nation's top collegiate men's tennis programs for academic achievement.
Six Paladins Named ITA Scholar-Athletes
In addition to the team honor, six Furman student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
To receive the distinction, players must be varsity letter winners and maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher during the academic year.
