MEAC Launches New Quarterly Wellness Newsletter for Student-Athletes
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has introduced a new quarterly wellness newsletter dedicated to supporting the overall health of its student-athletes. Created to promote mental, physical, and emotional well-being, the newsletter will deliver practical tools, actionable tips, and reliable educational resources that help student-athletes succeed on and off the field.
The quarterly publication will be accessible year-round through email, social media, and MEACsports.com, ensuring athletes, coaches, and staff can easily tap into the content. Each edition will include expert perspectives, wellness strategies, and highlights of campus programs across MEAC institutions that champion holistic student-athlete development.
“Our student-athletes are central to everything we do, and prioritizing their well-being is essential,” said Dr. Harry Stafford, MD, MBA, CSCS, MEAC Chief Medical Officer. “This newsletter gives our athletes targeted guidance to elevate their performance, manage stress, and build healthy habits for life.”
MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills echoed that commitment, stating, “We remain focused on equipping student-athletes with comprehensive support—academically, athletically, and personally. This newsletter strengthens that mission and reinforces our dedication to developing well-rounded leaders throughout the conference.”
The first edition is now available on MEACsports.com, with future releases set to deliver timely, impactful wellness content to empower student-athletes across the MEAC community.
