MEAC to Host 11th Annual Youth Basketball Clinic in Norfolk

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is gearing up for its 11th Annual Youth Basketball Clinic, set for Tuesday, October 7, from 6–8 p.m. at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (1401 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23504). On-site registration will begin at 5 p.m.

This free event invites local youth to enjoy an evening of basketball skill-building, teamwork, and high-energy fun. Participants will receive hands-on instruction from MEAC standout student-athletes, with additional support from MEAC men’s and women’s basketball head coaches.

The clinic will once again be powered by the support of corporate partners The Coca-Cola Company, Grand Brand, and Wells Fargo, each contributing to an interactive, memorable experience for all attendees. Their involvement underscores the MEAC’s ongoing commitment to uplifting communities throughout the region.

Grand Brand will also continue its impactful A Chance to Dream Grand initiative for the second straight year, providing two twin-size beds to deserving participants. The program reflects Grand Furniture’s dedication to serving families in Hampton Roads by supplying essential household items to children in need. More details on the A Chance to Dream Grand program are available at GrandFurniture.com/dreamgrand.

“The Youth Basketball Clinic is one of our most meaningful community traditions,” said MEAC Commissioner Sonja Stills. “With the help of our student-athletes, coaches, and partners, we’re able to inspire young people, teach important life skills, and strengthen our connection to the communities we serve.”

Registration is free and open to boys and girls ages 8–12, but space is limited—early sign-ups are encouraged.
