Tennessee Baseball’s 2027 SEC Schedule Revealed
The Vols will open conference play against defending national champion Oklahoma before facing nine NCAA Tournament teams from the 2026 season
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Tennessee baseball will begin its 2027 Southeastern Conference schedule with one of the biggest matchups on the league calendar.
The Vols will open SEC play March 19-21 against defending national champion Oklahoma at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville as part of a conference schedule that features nine opponents that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2026.
Tennessee, which is coming off its seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, will play five SEC series at home and five on the road.
The 2027 conference slate also includes series against Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. On the road, Tennessee will travel to Texas A&M, Texas, Auburn, Florida and permanent rival Alabama.
Tennessee Opens SEC Play Against Oklahoma
The Vols will waste little time getting into the heart of their SEC schedule.
Oklahoma comes to Knoxville for the March 19-21 series, giving Tennessee an early opportunity to face the defending national champion.
The matchup will be followed by Tennessee's first SEC road trip of the season, with the Vols traveling to Texas A&M for a March 26-28 series in Bryan-College Station, Texas.
Tennessee returns home April 2-4 to host Arkansas before heading to Austin for an April 9-11 series against Texas.
The trip will mark Tennessee's first-ever visit to Austin for a baseball series against the Longhorns. Texas reached the Men's College World Series in 2026.
Five SEC Road Series Await the Vols
Tennessee's road schedule continues April 16-18 at Auburn.
After a return home to face Georgia on April 23-25, the Vols travel to Gainesville for a three-game series against Florida from April 30 through May 2.
Tennessee's final road series of the regular season comes May 14-16 at Alabama.
The Alabama matchup is one of Tennessee's permanent-rivalry series under the SEC's scheduling format.
Vanderbilt Comes to Knoxville to Close Regular Season
The Vols will finish the regular season at home against in-state rival Vanderbilt.
That series is scheduled for May 20-22 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Vanderbilt is one of Tennessee's two permanent SEC opponents under the league's current scheduling model.
The conference format gives each SEC program 10 weekend series — two against permanent opponents and eight against rotating opponents.
A Schedule Loaded With NCAA Tournament Experience
Tennessee's 2027 SEC schedule includes a significant amount of postseason experience from the previous season.
Nine of the Vols' 10 SEC opponents reached the NCAA Tournament in 2026. Six advanced to super regionals, while four made the trip to Omaha for the Men's College World Series.
That group includes Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida and Vanderbilt.
For Tennessee, the schedule creates a conference slate filled with teams that already have recent postseason experience.

SEC Tournament Returns to Hoover
The 2027 SEC Tournament is scheduled for May 25-30 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama.
The tournament will once again bring the conference's best teams together following the conclusion of the regular season.
For Tennessee, the path to Hoover will begin with a home series against Oklahoma and include five road trips before the Vols return to Knoxville for the regular-season finale against Vanderbilt.
With nine NCAA Tournament teams from 2026 on the schedule, Tennessee will have no shortage of high-profile conference matchups when the 2027 season arrives.
