Gladiators Set Date for 2026-27 Home Opener

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DULUTH, Ga. (May 12, 2026) — Hockey is officially on the calendar again in Gwinnett County.

The Atlanta Gladiators announced Tuesday that the team’s 2026-27 home opener will take place Saturday, Oct. 17, at Gas South Arena, with puck drop scheduled for 7:10 p.m.

The opponent will be revealed later this offseason when the ECHL releases the full 2026-27 regular season schedule.

Atlanta Looks to Continue Home Opener Success

The home opener will mark the beginning of the Gladiators’ 23rd season in Gwinnett County and comes with growing expectations following one of the organization’s strongest seasons in recent years.

Atlanta enters the new campaign having won five consecutive home openers dating back to 2021.

Last season’s opener delivered one of the team’s more memorable moments early in the year, as the Gladiators defeated the Utah Grizzlies 3-2 in overtime on Oct. 18, 2025.

Momentum Continues to Build Around Franchise

The announcement comes after a season that saw the Gladiators return to the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2022 while also experiencing major growth in attendance and fan engagement.

With excitement surrounding the organization continuing to rise, the home opener is expected to serve as another major night for the franchise and its fan base.

The Gladiators encouraged fans to follow the team’s social media platforms and subscribe to the organization’s newsletter for schedule updates, promotions and offseason news.
