Black College Football Hall of Fame Set to Celebrate 2026 Induction Class in Atlanta
The Black College Football Hall of Fame will honor its 2026 induction class June 6 in Atlanta, celebrating HBCU football legends, coaches and contributors who helped shape the game.
For nearly two decades, the Black College Football Hall of Fame has served as one of the most important institutions preserving and celebrating the legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Next weekend, that tradition continues as the organization welcomes its Class of 2026 during its 17th Annual Induction Ceremony in Atlanta.
The annual event has become a cornerstone celebration of HBCU excellence, bringing together football legends, coaches, contributors, alumni and fans from across the country to honor those whose impact extends far beyond the football field.
Celebrating the Class of 2026
This year's induction class represents some of the most accomplished individuals in Black college football history.
The Black College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026 includes:

Their achievements will be formally recognized during the induction ceremony on June 6 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
More Than an Induction Ceremony
While the induction itself remains the centerpiece of the weekend, the event has evolved into a gathering that celebrates the rich history, culture and continued influence of HBCU athletics.
The ceremony will once again be hosted by veteran broadcaster Charles Davis, one of the most respected voices in football media.
The evening will also recognize two standout performers from the 2025 season.
Curtis Allen of Virginia Union University will receive the prestigious Deacon Jones Trophy as the Black College Football Player of the Year. Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys linebacker James Houston will be honored as the Black College Football Pro Player of the Year, an award presented by the NFL Players Association.
HBCU Football's Legacy Takes Center Stage
The Black College Football Hall of Fame continues to play a vital role in ensuring the stories of HBCU athletes, coaches and contributors are preserved for future generations.
More than 30 Hall of Fame inductees from previous classes are expected to attend this year's ceremony, creating a rare opportunity for fans and supporters to celebrate the individuals who helped build one of the richest traditions in college athletics.
As the organization enters its 17th year, the annual induction weekend remains a powerful reminder of the talent, perseverance and excellence that have long defined Black college football.
The 17th Annual Black College Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by the Atlanta Falcons, will take place Friday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta.
