Burna Boy to Headline Halftime Show at 2026 NFL Paris Game

PARIS — The NFL announced Thursday that GRAMMY Award-winning artist Burna Boy will headline the halftime show for the 2026 NFL Paris Game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints, set for Sunday, Oct. 25, at 2:30 p.m. CEST (9:30 a.m. ET) at Stade de France.
The performance is part of a record seven halftime shows staged across the NFL's 2026 International Games, spanning seven countries and four continents as the league plays its most international slate ever in a single season.
A Return to the Scene of a Career Milestone
Burna Boy has become one of the defining voices in African music worldwide, carrying Afro-fusion from Nigeria onto some of the biggest stages on the planet. He's earned 13 GRAMMY nominations, became the first African artist to perform on the main GRAMMY Awards telecast, and in April 2025 became the first African artist to headline Stade de France — the same venue where he'll now take the NFL stage.
"Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything," Burna Boy said. He added that the NFL is bringing something to France that's never happened there before, and that he intends to represent African music with a show fans won't forget.
Tim Tubito, the NFL's senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment, said the league's first game in France called for a halftime moment to match the occasion. He said Paris stands as one of the world's great cultural capitals, with African music at the heart of what the city listens to, and that Burna Boy's history-making run at the venue made him the clear choice to help create another memorable moment on a global stage.
The First NFL Game in France
The 2026 NFL Paris Game, presented by American Express, will mark the first regular-season NFL game played in France. The event is being staged in partnership with GL events and with support from the French Ministry of Sports.
Burna Boy's full halftime performance will air live and free in France on France Télévisions and beIN Sports, with L'Équipe broadcasting the game later that same evening.
Part of a Record International Slate
Burna Boy joins an already-announced lineup of international halftime performers for the 2026 season, including the Jonas Brothers at the NFL Melbourne Game on Thursday, Sept. 10, at Melbourne Cricket Ground; Pedro Sampaio and Ricky Martin at the NFL Rio Game on Sunday, Sept. 27, at Maracanã Stadium; Ayra Starr at the NFL London Game on Sunday, Oct. 11, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium; Cage The Elephant at the NFL Munich Game on Sunday, Nov. 15, at FC Bayern Munich Arena; and The Warning at the NFL Mexico City Game on Sunday, Nov. 22, at Estadio Banorte.
The 2026 season marks the 63rd time an NFL regular-season game will have been played outside the United States, following previous international games in London, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dublin, São Paulo, Mexico City and Toronto. This year's international slate includes two new markets — Melbourne and Rio de Janeiro — in addition to Paris.
