Citadel Set for Inaugural LinkU Invitational at Credit One Stadium

CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Citadel men's basketball team will take part in a first-of-its-kind event this weekend, competing in the inaugural LinkU Invitational at Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island.
The Bulldogs will face crosstown rival College of Charleston on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. as part of a three-game basketball showcase played on center court at Credit One Stadium. The matchup will air live on ESPN+.
Sunday's slate begins at noon with Virginia facing Vanderbilt. The Citadel and College of Charleston follow at 2 p.m., before the College of Charleston women's basketball team takes on South Carolina at 4 p.m.
More Than Just Game Day
The LinkU Invitational extends beyond Sunday's action, with events scheduled throughout the weekend giving fans opportunities to interact with coaches, student-athletes and the participating programs.
Friday evening features a Chalk Talk event at The Charleston Place, bringing together coaches and student-athletes from each participating program. Head coach Ed Conroy and members of the Bulldogs will represent The Citadel.
Saturday includes open practices at Credit One Stadium for VIP ticket holders, followed that evening by comedian Nate Bargatze taking the stage at the venue for a night of comedy.

9:30-10:15 a.m. — The Citadel open practice at Credit One Stadium (VIP ticket access only)
7 p.m. — Nate Bargatze: "Big Dumb Eyes Goes To College" at Credit One Stadium
Sunday, Sept. 27
Noon — Virginia vs. Vanderbilt
2 p.m. — The Citadel vs. College of Charleston
4 p.m. — College of Charleston women vs. South Carolina
