Clemson Outlasts Georgia Tech 67–65 in Double-Overtime Thriller
CLEMSON, S.C. — In one of the most dramatic games of the season, the Clemson Tigers women's basketball outlasted the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women's basketball 67–65 in a double-overtime battle Thursday night at Littlejohn Coliseum.
The game was a defensive grind from the opening tip, with both teams trading runs and neither able to gain separation. Clemson built a 30–21 halftime lead behind aggressive defense and efficient scoring in the paint.
Georgia Tech stormed back in the second half, tightening its defense and forcing Clemson into difficult possessions. The Yellow Jackets eventually erased the deficit and pushed the game into overtime after a tense fourth quarter.
Neither team could pull away in the first extra period. In the second overtime, Clemson finally found the edge it needed, converting key free throws and forcing critical stops to secure the narrow victory.
The Tigers showed resilience throughout the night, surviving multiple Georgia Tech rallies and maintaining composure in the game’s most intense moments.
The win improved Clemson to 18–8 overall and 9–5 in ACC play while reinforcing the Tigers’ reputation as one of the conference’s toughest defensive teams
