Brock Purdy, Jevón Holland and Myles Price Earn September NFC Honors

The NFC's September award winners are officially in, and three players made plenty of noise during the opening three weeks of the 2026 season.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, New York Giants safety Jevón Holland and Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Myles Price were named the NFC Players of the Month for September, covering Weeks 1-3.

Purdy Powers San Francisco's Offense

Purdy has been one of the NFL's most efficient quarterbacks through the first three weeks, completing 60 of 83 passes (72.3%) for 789 yards, nine passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown.

He currently leads the league with a 133.1 passer rating and is tied for the NFL lead with nine touchdown passes. Purdy is also the only quarterback this season to post multiple touchdown passes and a passer rating of at least 100 in each of the first three weeks.

He made NFL history in Week 2, completing 90.9% of his passes (20 of 22) for 287 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for a score. He became the first player in NFL history to produce that combination in a single game.

The award is the first Player of the Month honor of Purdy's career. He joins Pro Football Hall of Famers Steve Young and Joe Montana, along with Jeff Garcia, as the only 49ers quarterbacks to earn the honor.

Purdy also becomes the second former Iowa State player to win an Offensive Player of the Month award, joining David Archer.

Holland Makes an Impact in New York

Holland has been creating turnovers at a rapid pace for the Giants.

Through three games, he has recorded 12 tackles, four passes defensed, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Holland is tied for the league lead in interceptions and is the only player this season with an interception in each of his team's first three games.

His four takeaways are the most by an NFL player through his team's first three games since Marcus Peters recorded four in 2016 with Kansas City.

Holland also became just the second player since 2000 to record at least three interceptions and two forced fumbles in his team's first three games, joining Kyle Fuller, who accomplished the feat with Chicago in 2014.

This is Holland's first Defensive Player of the Month award, making him the eighth Giants player to receive the honor and the first since Landon Collins in November 2016.

Holland and Collins are also the only Giants safeties to win the award.

The former Oregon standout joins DeForest Buckner as the second former Ducks player to earn Defensive Player of the Month honors.

Price Turns Special Teams Into a Weapon

Price has been a major factor in the Vikings' return game, leading the NFL through three weeks with 353 kickoff return yards, 130 punt return yards and 483 total return yards.

He also leads the league with one punt return touchdown.

Price's 483 total return yards are the most by a player through his team's first three games since Josh Cribbs recorded 488 return yards for Cleveland in 2007.

In Week 3, Price broke loose for an 86-yard punt return touchdown, helping Minnesota remain undefeated at 3-0.

Price is the only NFL player to return a punt for a touchdown this season and the first Vikings player to do so since Marcus Sherels in 2016.

The award is Price's first Special Teams Player of the Month honor. He joins Percy Harvin and Cordarrelle Patterson as the only Vikings wide receivers to earn the recognition.

Price also becomes the third former Indiana player to win a Player of the Month award, joining Courtney Roby and Pete Stoyanovich.
